The Order of the Sons of Italy in America is the largest and longest established national organization for men and women of Italian heritage in the United States. OSIA’s mission includes encouraging the study of the Italian language and the Italian culture in America ’s schools and universities. Through its Sons of Italy Foundation and more than 700 state and local chapters OSIA has awarded more than $600,000 each year in scholarship aid. It has awarded more than $50 million in scholarships to date to citizens of Italian descent.

The National Leadership Grant Competition offers merit-based General Scholarships, Sons of Italy Foundation/American University of Rome Scholarships (one year study abroad), Sons of Italy Foundation/ George L. Graziadio Scholarships, Italian Language Scholarships and one special Henry Salvatori Scholarship.
