Hi there. This is your current Historian, Tamara, bringing you a little bit of Italian history of my town, Annville, PA. While looking through our town archives, I came across this book, Memories of Old West Annville. I had no idea that my town had such a rich Italian background! Here is the dedication included within the book:
This book is a tribute to the ethnic groups that settled in and around old West Annville: the Italians who lived there in the early 1900s while working in the quarries west of town as well as the “Pennsylvania Dutch” Germans who first farmed the land.
Through good times and bad times, laughter and tears, the people who lived in Old West Annville struggled and assimilated into society, and raised their children as good, solid citizens of the USA. That is their legacy. God bless them.
